A 4A curly poplar top sits over a swamp ash body, finished in gloss Purple Iris that brings out the figure. The body is bound in 3-ply black ABS with black pearloid. The headstock carries a matching 4A curly poplar cap, Purple Iris finish, and the same binding. It weighs 7.38 lb.

The neck is an 11-ply maple and wenge laminate that runs the full length of the body. Neck-through construction gives long, even sustain and no bulky heel, so the upper frets are easy to reach. It's carved to Mayones' Regius profile and finished in satin. The 4A birdseye maple fretboard is bound to match the body and has double offset white acrylic dot inlays. You get a 16" radius, 24 Ferd Wagner stainless steel frets, a 25.4" scale, and a 1.715" Graph Tech Black TUSQ nut. Stainless frets stay smooth and resist wear under heavy bending. Hardware is black: a fixed Hipshot 6 bridge and Hipshot tuners in a 3+3 layout, a stable setup for lower tunings.

The electronics are Mayones' own Velvetrone humbuckers: a Solium in the neck and an Ironside in the bridge. Controls are kept simple, with a single volume and a 5-way blade selector. That gives you a wide range of sounds, from clean, articulate neck tones to tight high-gain rhythm from the bridge. Whether you're a prog-metal player, a djent or extended-range rhythm guitarist, or a collector who wants a Regius in a striking finish, this one stands out. (Serial #RF2605287) It comes with a Mayones Hybrid double deck gig bag. Order today from Brian's Guitars.

Questions about this guitar?
