A flamed maple top sits over a Honduran mahogany body. Honduran mahogany is a protected species, so legally sourced stock is scarce, and many builders have moved to other mahoganies. It’s the same wood behind the late-’50s Les Pauls this design draws from. The body is finished in high-gloss nitrocellulose lacquer and trimmed in non-grained ivoroid binding. It weighs 8.18 lb.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003eThe Honduran mahogany set neck has a ’60s profile (.865\" at the 1st fret, .967\" at the 9th) under the same gloss nitro. The bone nut is 1.730\" wide. The headstock wears an ebony veneer with a mother-of-pearl Collings logo.
