A 2-piece figured maple top sits on a 1-piece lightweight mahogany body, bound in single-ply Royalite. The Factory Burst finish is nitrocellulose lacquer, aged by the Murphy Lab at its Ultra Light level, the lightest of its 4 aging treatments. The result looks like a ‘59 that has been well cared for, not beaten up. The tenon reaches deeper into the body, and hide glue cures hard for a tight neck-to-body connection. The Indian rosewood fretboard has a 12\" radius, 22 historic medium-jumbo frets, single-ply Royalite binding, and cellulose nitrate trapezoid inlays, the same material used on the originals. Other specs include a 24.75\" scale, a 1 11\/16\" nylon nut, and Murphy Lab aged nitro on the neck. The holly headstock veneer carries the “Les Paul Model” script and an inlaid Gibson logo.
