James Norbert Ivanyi is a progressive master-mind, hailing from Australia. It was there that he earned his degree from the Australian Institute Of Music and began crafting his signature sound. James has been using Suhr guitars for 11 years now to write and perform his incredible brand of genre-bending music. James has released many solo records that range in sound and genre, yet always take you on a journey over unexplored sonic and technical terrain. On top of this sleek combination of Body wood with a Roasted Maple top with scraped binding, we also worked with James to develop a new type of “Blower” switch that allows you to preset the volume of your guitar when the blower switch is engaged.

Minimalism has always been important to me when it comes to performance, so a lot of thought went into getting as much as possible out of the single knob, 3-way blade, and gain pad. Between these controls, an incredible amount of tones and gain stages can be achieved with precision and ease.”
