Fender's Custom Shop Dual-Mag II Stratocaster pickups are designed to deliver a clear, well-balanced sound across all strings. They utilize a combination of Alnico 5 magnets for the lower strings (low E through G) and beveled Alnico 2 magnets for the higher B and E strings. This configuration ensures strong, punchy lows and tempered, shimmering highs, providing a seamless transition from wound to plain strings. 

Compared to their predecessors, the Dual-Mag II pickups have additional windings, resulting in a hotter output. They are also calibrated from bridge to neck, enhancing tonal consistency across all positions.
