Fender Custom Shop Fat ‘50s Stratocaster Pickup Set

Fender Custom Shop Fat ‘50s Stratocaster Pickup Set

The Fender Custom Shop Fat '50s Stratocaster Pickup Set gives your Strat the chime and snap of the '50s with a fuller low end. Fender built this calibrated three-pickup set to add bass weight and warmth without the harsh, honky midrange that can make vintage-voiced single coils sound thin, so you get classic Strat sparkle with more body behind it (Fender Model #0992113000).

Each pickup uses Alnico V magnets with staggered, hand-beveled pole pieces for balanced string-to-string output and lively, touch-sensitive dynamics. They're wound with Formvar magnet wire and built on fiber bobbins with period-correct cloth lead wire, the same materials behind the vintage Strat tones players still chase. The middle pickup is reverse wound and reverse polarity, so the in-between 2 and 4 positions cancel hum and deliver that famous quacky, glassy tone without the buzz.

Whether you're a blues player chasing '50s bite, a session guitarist who needs rich, dependable Strat tones, or a builder putting together a vintage-style Stratocaster, the Fat '50s set is one of the most popular pickup upgrades in Fender's lineup. Installation hardware is included. Order today from Brian's Guitars, your authorized Fender dealer.
