1960 Gibson Les Paul Custom Bigsby Ebony
1960 Gibson Les Paul Custom Bigsby Ebony (Vintage, 1960)
Serial Number: 0 6941
Weight: 12.0lbs
Condition: Good vintage condition. The body shows typical black finish swirling/buff marks and finish checking on the neck and headstock. Body shows a few dings and indentations and some checking around the bindings. The back shows some belt buckle wear. Some dings up the neck and wear on the headstock edges. The frets are original and do show some wear. A lot of the gold hardware has worn especially on the pickup covers. Under a blacklight, the top shows work done around the bridge, our assumption is that at some point the bridge was moved for better string alignment and the original holes were filled and finish was applied. Without a blacklight, this work is barely visible. There is around a 2.5" check and crack on the back on the neck around frets 1-3. This does not run in line with the truss rod and is structurally sound with no further movement. Pickups and pots are original, there may be 2 or so solder points that are not original. The middle position is low volume and lo-fi sounding. Original case included in fair/good condition.
