This Dunable USA Custom Yeti in Burl Maple and Aqua Resin (Serial #26300) has one of the most unique specs we’ve had in the shop. The top is a live-edge slab of burl maple: the natural, uncut edge of the slab runs along the arm contour on the bass side of the lower bout, and aqua resin fills in the rest of the Yeti body outline. The resin holds circular inclusions that glow in the dark, so the guitar looks different on a dark stage than it does under daylight. Every burl slab has its own grain and edge, so no two tops like this are the same. The body is torrefied burl maple in a semi-gloss lacquer finish. It weighs 9.78 lb.
The roasted flame maple set neck has a C carve (.840" at the 1st fret, .930" at the 12th fret) with a semi-gloss lacquer finish that feels smooth and fast. The fretboard follows the same idea as the top: a live-edge piece of exotic ebony with roasted flame maple filling in the rest, so the ebony’s natural edge runs down the board. Sparkle resin binding and side dots only keep the face of the board clean. It has a 12" radius and 22 jumbo Jescar FW57110 stainless steel frets on a 25.5" scale. Stainless frets stay smooth for bends and resist wear for years. The Black Tusq nut is 1.685" wide. The headstock is roasted flame maple stained transparent green, with a matching roasted flame maple truss rod cover. Hardware mixes black chrome and gold: a Pinnacle aluminum Tune-O-Matic bridge with a stop bar tailpiece and Grover Rotomatic tuners.
The pickups are a pair of Slugwolf humbuckers with octagonal open gold foil covers, wired to volume, tone, and a 3-way toggle. Gold foils bring a clearer, more open voice than a standard humbucker, with chime on clean settings and bite when you push the amp.
