This used 2019 Gibson Custom 60th Anniversary 1959 Les Paul Standard Reissue in Factory Burst (Serial #951941) has Murphy Lab Light Aged treatment on the finish and hardware. It was built to mark 60 years since the original '59 Les Paul Standard, with period-correct materials throughout. The 1-piece lightweight mahogany body has a 2-piece figured maple top, 1-ply Royalite binding, and Murphy Lab Light Aged nitrocellulose lacquer. The aging gives it the subtle checking and wear of a well-kept vintage instrument, and the nickel hardware is aged to match. It weighs 8.4 lb, which is light for a Les Paul Standard. It's in mint condition: all the wear you see is from the Murphy Lab aging, with nothing added since.
The solid mahogany neck has a 50s Rounded Medium C carve (.885" at the 1st fret, .985" at the 12th) in Murphy Lab Light Aged nitro, set with a long-tenon, hide-glue joint. The Indian rosewood fretboard has 1-ply Royalite binding, cellulose nitrate trapezoid inlays, a 12" radius, and 22 authentic medium-jumbo frets on a 24.75" scale. The nylon nut measures 1.687". The gloss black aged headstock carries Kluson single-line, single-ring tuners. An ABR-1 bridge with nickel-plated brass saddles and a lightweight aluminum stop bar anchor the strings. A laminated cellulose acetate butyrate pickguard completes the '59 look.
A pair of unpotted Custombucker 3 humbuckers give an open, touch-sensitive vintage voice that cleans up nicely when you roll back the volume.
