The PRS Custom 24 Birds of a Feather Limited Edition in Blood Red is a true rarity, with only 360 built worldwide in 2026, pairing PRS's original defining model with the Birds of a Feather inlay — a distinctive interpretation of PRS's classic bird design previously reserved exclusively for Private Stock instruments.
“I wanted to design an inlay that was simple and easy to read from across the room or on a stage but was also uniquely PRS. I have always been fascinated with inlay work and PRS has afforded me the opportunity to see the evolution from hand cut shell to intricate CNC work. For me, this was a new way of looking at inlay design, using the woods to create movement and space,” said Paul Miles, Director of Manufacturing.
The mahogany body with an artist-grade figured maple top and scraped binding is finished in high-gloss nitrocellulose lacquer in Blood Red, giving this Custom 24 the look of a genuine collector's statement piece.
The set mahogany neck carries PRS's Pattern Thin profile (53/64" at the 1st fret, 57/64" at the 12th) for fast, familiar playability, topped with an ebony fretboard featuring the Birds of a Feather inlay in figured maple, a 10" radius across 24 frets and the classic 25" scale length. A 1 11/16" PRS nut leads to PRS Phase III locking tuners with wing buttons in nickel, and the ebony-veneer headstock carries the prefactory eagle logo and a dedicated "Custom" truss rod cover. PRS's patented Gen III tremolo delivers remarkable tuning stability and resonant sustain.
