The Suhr SL15 Head is the compact 15-watt entry point into Suhr's celebrated SL series of hand-wired amplifiers, distilling the line's harmonically rich cleans, chewy midrange, and searing vintage-British overdrive into a smaller, stage-friendly footprint. Built around a pair of 6V6 power tubes and three 12AX7 preamp tubes, the SL15 delivers the same dynamic touch response and natural breakup character as its larger SL siblings, just at a more manageable volume for smaller stages and late-night sessions. A dual-channel, single-input design keeps both channels blendable at all times rather than forcing you to jump between them — turn a channel's volume all the way down and it's fully out of the circuit, so tone stays clear and uncolored no matter how you dial it in.
Three toggle switches let you shape the amp's vintage-to-modern voicing on the fly. The Fat-Cap switch — a nod to a mod Suhr's John Suhr pioneered on a famous amp he worked on in the '90s — adds low-end punch and bass weight on the Treble channel, with the option to remove it for a leaner, more stock vintage voicing. A Mid-Boost switch adds gain to the phase inverter and a subtle lift to the tone stack for extra midrange punch when the amp is dimed, and a 3-way Bright switch offers three distinct top-end voicings, from the original SL series' darker character to full vintage-style brightness with a middle ground in between. A rear-panel Master Volume circuit bypasses entirely at 10 for uncolored full-power tone, then scales down to whisper levels while preserving the amp's dynamics and feel — no external attenuator required.
Rounding out the control set are dedicated Presence, Bass, Middle, Treble, and dual Volume knobs for the two channels, with a single 1/4" instrument input and two 1/4" speaker outputs switchable between 4, 8, and 16 ohms for flexible cab pairing.
