Aristides 060R Bright Red
Serial Number: 4369
Weight: 7.18 lbs.

The Aristides 060R is the flagship of the Aristides line, and it's built without a single piece of wood. Aristides molds the body and neck as one continuous piece from Arium, their proprietary composite: a rigid outer shell wrapped around a resonant core, which gives the guitar the airy response of a chambered instrument with none of the seasonal movement of timber. Each shell takes roughly eight hours of hand-layering — topcoat, glass fiber, carbon, and more, built up inside a custom mold — before Arium is distributed evenly through the interior for consistent resonance. Every body is acoustically tested, weighed, and approved, then cured twice in a heated chamber. This one lands at a light 7.18 lbs. in a Raw finish, with a vivid Bright Red body, matching Bright Red headstock, black hardware, and a red "060" inlay at the 12th fret. The 060 is the guitar Aristides reaches for when handing someone their first one, and it's the model most players end up buying.

The neck is Arium as well, carved to a C profile (.75" at the 1st fret, .79" at the 12th) and left Raw to match the body. It's the Goldilocks shape in the Aristides catalog — not thin enough to cramp a chording hand, not chunky enough to slow down fast lines — and it's the single thing players comment on first. One-piece body/neck construction means there's no joint to work around: sustain runs uninterrupted and upper-fret access is wide open. A Richlite fretboard carries 24 stainless steel Jescar FW57110 frets over a 10–16" compound radius, with a 25.5" scale length and a 1.65" Graphtech TUSQ nut. The compound radius rounds out under the chording hand and flattens toward the upper frets for bends that don't choke. A Hipshot fixed hardtail bridge transfers energy straight into the body, and Hipshot Grip-Lock open-gear locking tuners make string changes quick.

A Seymour Duncan Sentient in the neck and a Pegasus in the bridge handle the electronics, wired to a volume control and a 5-way blade selector. It's a well-proven modern pairing: the Pegasus delivers tight, aggressive bridge tones with the pick attack and low-end control that heavy playing demands, while the Sentient stays clear and vocal for leads and clean work instead of turning muddy. At 7.18 lbs. with effortless sustain and a hardtail bridge, this is a guitar that works as easily for clean parts and rhythm playing as it does for high-gain riffing. Whether you're a modern rock or metal player who wants an instrument that never shifts with the weather, a session player who needs consistency take after take, or someone curious about what composite construction actually plays like, the 060R is the right entry point. This Aristides 060R in Bright Red (Serial #4369) includes a deluxe gig bag. Order today from Brian's Guitars, your authorized Aristides dealer.
