Aristides H/07R Light Grey Headless 7-String

The Aristides H/07R in Light Grey is a headless 7-string multiscale that weighs just 5.86 lbs. — and like every Aristides, it's built without a single piece of wood. Aristides molds the body and neck as one continuous piece from Arium, their proprietary composite: a rigid outer shell wrapped around a resonant core, which gives the guitar the airy response of a chambered instrument with none of the seasonal movement of timber. Each shell takes roughly eight hours of hand-layering — topcoat, glass fiber, carbon, and more, built up inside a custom mold — before Arium is distributed evenly through the interior for consistent resonance. Every body is acoustically tested, weighed, and approved, then cured twice in a heated chamber. This one wears a Raw finish in Light Grey with black hardware throughout — understated next to the rest of the line, and a finish that lets the shape do the talking. The H/0 series is Aristides' ground-up rethink of the electric guitar, and the composite construction is what makes a body this small sound this large.

The neck is Arium as well, carved to a C profile and left Raw in matching Light Grey. One-piece body/neck construction means there's no joint to work around: sustain runs uninterrupted and upper-fret access is completely unobstructed. A Richlite fretboard carries 24 stainless steel Jescar FW57110 frets over a 12–16" compound radius, with a 1.98" Graphtech TUSQ nut and a 12th-fret inlay. The multiscale layout runs 25.5" to 27", putting real tension behind the low B while keeping the treble side short enough to bend comfortably. Custom Hantug string locks handle the nut end and a custom hardtail bridge anchors the body end, with Hipshot Grip-Lock open-gear locking tuners at the bridge. Headless construction does two things at once here: it strips the mass off the end of the neck so the guitar balances dead-level on a strap instead of diving, and it shortens the overall footprint enough to matter on a plane or in a crowded backline. At 5.86 lbs. with no headstock weight to fight, three-hour sets stop being a shoulder problem.

Fishman Fluence humbuckers handle both positions, wired to a volume control, a 5-way blade selector, and a push/pull tone for voicing changes.
