Aristides STX7S Mint Green 7-String Multiscale
Aristides STX7S Mint Green 7-String Multiscale
Serial Number: 4361
Weight: 9.5 lbs.
The Aristides STX7S in Mint Green is a 7-string multiscale spec'd after one of Mike Stringer's custom Aristides builds, and like every Aristides, it's made without a single piece of wood. Aristides molds the body and neck as one continuous piece from Arium, their proprietary composite: a rigid outer shell wrapped around a resonant core, which gives the guitar the airy response of a chambered instrument with none of the seasonal movement of timber. Each shell takes roughly eight hours of hand-layering — topcoat, glass fiber, carbon, and more, built up inside a custom mold — before Arium is distributed evenly through the interior for consistent resonance. Every body is acoustically tested, weighed, and approved, then cured twice in a heated chamber. This one lands at 9.5 lbs. in a Semi-Gloss finish, with a Mint Green body, matching Mint Green headstock, Red Marble pickguard, cream pickups, and aluminum hardware. It's a bold color story, and a long way from the usual black-on-black extended-range formula.
The neck is Arium as well, carved to a comfortable C profile (.770" at the 1st fret, .800" at the 12th) and painted Mint Green to match the body. One-piece body/neck construction means there's no joint to work around: sustain runs uninterrupted and upper-fret access is wide open. A Richlite fretboard carries pearloid block inlays and 24 stainless steel Jescar FW57110 frets over a 12–16" compound radius, finished with a 1.98" Graphtech TUSQ nut. The multiscale layout runs 25.7" to 27", giving the low B the extra length it needs to stay tight and defined while the treble side keeps a comfortable, slinky feel — the fanned frets fall under the hand far more naturally than they look. A stain Aluminum EverTune bridge locks pitch through heavy picking and hard bends, and chrome Hipshot locking tuners make string changes quick.
Bare Knuckle Halcyon uncovered humbuckers in cream handle both positions, wired to a volume control and a 5-way blade selector with a push/pull for voicing changes. The Halcyons are built for clarity under gain: tight low end, articulate mids, and enough headroom to keep dense chord voicings from turning to mush, with a clean-up that rewards backing off the volume. Paired with the EverTune and the multiscale layout, this is a guitar that stays in tune and stays intelligible no matter how low you take it. Whether you're a prog or djent player chasing note separation, a metal rhythm guitarist who needs every string defined, or a Spiritbox fan looking for your very own Mike Stringer-inspired Aristides, the STX7S delivers. This Aristides STX7S in Mint Green (Serial #4361) includes a deluxe gig bag. Order today from Brian's Guitars, your authorized Aristides dealer.
