Earthquaker Devices Plumes Jr MOSFET Mod Limited Edition Small Signal Shredder

Limited to just 2,000 units, the EarthQuaker Devices Plumes Jr MOSFET Mod brings the Plumes Small Signal Shredder into a junior-size enclosure that fits on a crowded pedalboard. It keeps the core of the original: tube-like overdrive with 3 clipping voices, all on one toggle. The change is the third mode: EarthQuaker replaced the original “M” setting with a new MOSFET clipping circuit, and that is what makes the Plumes Jr MOSFET Mod its own pedal.

The controls are simple. Gain sets the amount of drive, and Level sets the output volume. The Tone knob works as a sweep. Turn it left for more bass, keep it near the middle for more midrange, and turn it right for more treble. The 3-way clipping toggle changes the pedal’s character. L is symmetrical LED clipping, which sounds crunchy, compressed, and articulate. N removes the clipping completely for open op-amp drive, so it also works as a clean boost. M is the new MOSFET mode. It is harmonically rich and focused, with extra low end and the dynamic feel of a modern high-gain tube amp. Switching is mechanical true bypass, so your signal passes straight through when the pedal is off.

The MOSFET mode is aimed at players who want high-gain amp response from a compact overdrive. The L and N modes cover tight crunch and clean boost. Whether you’re a blues player who wants touch-sensitive crunch, a rock or metal player chasing amp-like gain from a small box, or a collector who tracks EarthQuaker’s limited runs, the Plumes Jr MOSFET Mod fits right in. Order today from Brian’s Guitars — when these 2,000 are gone, they’re gone.
