The Fender American Vintage II 1951 Telecaster in Butterscotch Blonde is a period-correct recreation of the guitar that started it all. The first blackguard Tele arrived in 1951, renamed from the Broadcaster after a trademark objection from Gretsch, and it has been in continuous production ever since. Fender's American Vintage II line rebuilds these instruments spec by spec — era-correct bodies, neck carves, hardware, and pickups voiced to a specific year rather than a vague vintage idea. This one pairs an ash body in gloss nitrocellulose lacquer with a 1-ply black phenolic pickguard, and weighs 7.64 lbs. It's B-stock: near-mint, sold as new with full manufacturer warranty, with one small ding on the back-bottom edge of the body (see the last photo).

The 1-piece maple neck uses the substantial 1951 "U" carve (.890" at the 1st fret, .990" at the 12th), bolted on at a 4-bolt joint and finished in gloss nitro. The maple fretboard carries a 7.25" radius, black dot inlays, and 21 vintage tall frets, with a 25.5" scale length and a 1.650" bone nut. Fender got the small details right too. The 12th-fret dot spacing is narrow the way 1951 examples were, and the only Phillips-head fastener on the entire guitar is the truss rod nut. A Pure Vintage 3-saddle bridge with brass barrel saddles and Pure Vintage single-line "Fender Deluxe" tuners in nickel/chrome finish the job.

Pure Vintage '51 single-coils sit in both positions, wired to a master volume, master tone, and 3-way blade selector.
