The Fender Joe Bonamassa Tone Master ‘59 Twin Amp is a digital recreation of the late-’50s high-power tweed Twin that Joe Bonamassa has used on tour and in the studio for years. It’s built with Fender’s Tone Master modeling, based on the classic 5F8-A circuit, and is the first signature model in the Tone Master line. The original tweed Twin is known for bold, loud cleans that break into heavy overdrive when cranked, but it’s too loud for most rooms. This version keeps that voice and makes it usable anywhere. A pine cabinet and neodymium speakers bring the weight down to 30 lb.
It has two 12" Celestion JB85 NEO signature speakers, designed for this amp. The Normal and Bright channels each have two inputs, with Input 2 running at -6dB. The top panel has reverb, presence, middle, bass, treble, and a volume for each channel. The reverb is convolution-based, and an effects loop handles time-based effects. On the back, the output power selector offers full power (85 watts at 4Ω) plus five attenuated settings, so you can push the amp into overdrive at home volume. A Vintage-Tight switch tightens the low end when you want more focus, and the jewel light shows normal, warmup, and mute status.
For recording or silent stage setups, the balanced XLR line out includes three cabinet IRs, level control, and ground lift. You can configure the IRs in Fender’s Tone Master IR manager app. Universal 100V–240V operation makes it road-ready worldwide.
