Fender Limited Edition Vintera Road Worn 60s Double Esquire Black
Fender Limited Edition Vintera Road Worn 60s Double Esquire Black
Serial Number: MXA26008620
Weight: 7.3 lbs.
The Fender Vintera Road Worn '60s Double Esquire in Black takes the classic single-pickup Esquire platform and gives it a second pickup, wrapped in a finish that looks like it earned every mark. The limited Road Worn models use a more restrained aging process than a full relic job — light checking, gentle wear patterns, and a semi-gloss nitrocellulose lacquer over black. It still delivers that broken-in feel players chase in a real vintage Fender, without the heavily beat-up look. At 7.2 pounds, it hangs comfortably and balances well over a long set.
The Early '60s "C" maple neck (.84" at the 1st fret, 1.00" at the 12th fret) is a rounded, hand-filling profile that works equally well for chording and bending. Up top you get a maple fingerboard with dot inlays, a 9.5" radius, and medium jumbo frets, which is a fast-playing combination that still reads as vintage under the hand. Scale length is the standard Fender 25.5" with a 1.650" nut width. A vintage-style 3-saddle bridge with slotted steel saddles keeps the classic twang and sustain intact, and vintage-style tuning machines hold everything in place.
Under the hood sit a pair of Fender Custom Shop '51 Nocaster single-coils in the bridge and neck positions — the pickups responsible for that crystalline chime and steely twang the brand built its name on. A 3-way switch with single volume and tone controls keeps the layout simple and direct. Whether you're a country player after bridge-pickup snap, a blues or roots-rock guitarist who wants a vintage voice with modern reliability, or a Fender collector adding a limited Road Worn model to the wall, the Double Esquire delivers. Includes a deluxe hardshell case. Order today from Brian's Guitars, your authorized Fender dealer.
