The Gibson Custom Limited Edition Hummingbird Maple in Alpine White takes one of Gibson's most famous square-shoulder acoustics and gives it two notable changes: maple back and sides in place of the traditional mahogany, and a striking gloss Alpine White finish. Built by Gibson Custom, this Limited Edition Hummingbird pairs a Sitka spruce top with maple for a brighter, more focused voice than a standard Hummingbird. It has crisp note definition, a clear top end, and projection that cuts through a mix while keeping the Hummingbird's sweet, full-bodied character. The gloss nitrocellulose lacquer finish is trimmed with cream body binding and multi-ply purfling, and at 4.94 lb. it sits comfortably on your lap or on stage.

Scalloped X bracing lets the Sitka spruce top respond quickly and resonate freely. The mahogany neck is joined to the body with a traditional dovetail set-neck joint for strong resonance and sustain, and it's carved into a rounded C profile (.875" at the 1st fret, .935" at the 9th) with a gloss nitro finish. The cream-bound rosewood fretboard has mother-of-pearl split-parallelogram inlays, a 12" radius, and 20 medium jumbo frets over a 24.75" scale, with a 1.73" TUSQ nut.
