The Gibson Victory Floyd Rose in Iguana Burst adds a Floyd Rose locking tremolo to Gibson's modern take on the '80s Victory (Serial #206560139). It's the version players asked for after Gibson brought the Victory back in 2024. It keeps everything from the Victory Figured Top: a double-cutaway mahogany body with an AA figured maple top, finished in gloss nitrocellulose lacquer. The Iguana Burst finish shows off the flame. A black multi-ply pickguard, black switch tip, and black Top Hat knobs give it a stripped-down shred look. It weighs 7.54 lb.
The mahogany neck is a glued-in set neck carved to Gibson's SlimTaper profile and finished in gloss nitro. Its 25.5" scale gives the Victory a brighter, snappier attack than Gibson's usual 24.75", and the extra tension holds up well in drop tunings. The white-bound ebony fretboard has a 10"–16" compound radius, which keeps chords comfortable down low while flattening out for fast, clean soloing up the neck. You get 24 medium jumbo frets, offset dot inlays, and a 1 11/16" nut. The Explorer-style six-in-line headstock carries a mother-of-pearl Gibson logo and Grover Mini Rotomatic tuners. Paired with the Floyd Rose tremolo, the locking nut keeps the guitar in tune through heavy dive-bombs and whammy work. Hardware is chrome.
The pickups are a pair of uncovered 80s Tribute humbuckers with zebra bobbins. The controls are simple but flexible.
