The PRS Archon 50 head in Black Paisley is a two-channel, all-tube amp with heavy, saturated gain on one side and clean headroom on the other. Archon is Greek for "ruler," and the lead channel lives up to the name. It stacks five gain stages ahead of the master volume, so it covers classic rock through metal with full, rich distortion. The clean channel stays clear at high volume and has plenty of headroom, which makes it a strong pedal platform. On both channels, notes stay separated and the amp responds closely to your picking.

Depth adds low end and resonance, giving the bottom more size and dimension.
