The PRS Custom 24 Artist Quilt in Faded Indigo is the original PRS — the model Paul Reed Smith brought to the public at PRS Guitars' first Winter NAMM show in 1985, and the guitar that's defined PRS tone and playability ever since (Serial #0425594). This Artist-grade example pairs a quilted maple top with a mahogany back and neck, finished in high-gloss nitrocellulose over a deep Faded Indigo burst that lets the figuring show through. The mahogany neck wears PRS's slim Pattern Thin carve (53/64" at the 1st fret, 57/64" at the 12th) for a fast, comfortable grip whether you're barring chords low on the neck or reaching for the upper frets.
