The PRS SE 277 in Charcoal Burst (Serial #I036021) is a baritone electric with a 27.7" scale, built for low tunings and heavy playing. It ships tuned B to B. The extra scale length keeps low strings tight and focused, so drop-tuned riffs stay clear instead of turning floppy or muddy. The body is mahogany with a maple top and a flame maple veneer, finished in gloss Charcoal Burst. Scraped binding shows a natural edge around the top. This one weighs 7.08 lb.
The mahogany neck has PRS’s Wide Fat carve (7/8" at the 1st fret, 61/64" at the 12th fret), a full shape that fills the hand on long riffs. It’s a set-neck design that ties the neck and body together for sustain and resonance. The rosewood fretboard has PRS bird inlays, a 10" radius, and 22 PRS SE Standard frets (.104" x .046"). The nut is 1 11/16" wide, and the neck has a gloss finish. A PRS plate-style bridge loads the strings through the body for a solid, resonant attack.
