The PRS SE Custom 24 Semi-Hollow Piezo in Vintage Sunburst (Serial #G069254) combines electric and acoustic sounds in one guitar. It starts with the Custom 24, the model PRS introduced in 1985 with a maple top, mahogany back, 2 humbuckers, and the patented PRS tremolo. This version adds a semi-hollow body for natural resonance and an LR Baggs/PRS piezo system. The mahogany body has a maple top with a flame maple veneer, finished in gloss Vintage Sunburst with cream binding. This one weighs 7.18 lb.

The mahogany neck uses PRS’s Wide Thin carve (13/16" at the 1st fret, 57/64" at the 12th fret), a slim, fast shape. It’s set into the body for warmth and sustain. The rosewood fretboard has cream binding, PRS bird inlays, a 10" radius, and 24 PRS SE Standard frets. The scale is 25", and the nut is 1 11/16" wide. A PRS patented tremolo provides smooth vibrato and stays in tune. PRS-designed tuners with wing buttons and nickel hardware complete the package. The headstock has a matching veneer, binding, the SE signature logo, and a “Custom” truss rod cover. Lampshade knobs complete the classic PRS look.

The electronics pair 2 PRS 85/15 “S” humbuckers with the LR Baggs/PRS piezo. The humbuckers run through a 3-way blade switch, with a push/pull tone knob that coil-taps them for single-coil sounds. The magnetic pickups and the piezo each have their own volume control and their own output jack. Plug into the Mix/Piezo jack to blend humbucker tones with acoustic piezo sounds, or use both jacks to send the magnetics to your amp and the piezo to an acoustic amp or straight to the board. When you use only the magnetic jack, the piezo battery is bypassed, so the humbuckers keep working even if the battery dies.
