The PRS SE McCarty 594 in Vintage Sunburst (Serial #I034946) brings the vintage-inspired design of PRS’s McCarty 594 to the SE line. That includes the 24.594" scale, the Pattern Vintage neck, and a pair of 58/15 LT “S” humbuckers. The mahogany body has a maple top with a flame maple veneer, finished in gloss Vintage Sunburst. This one is light for a single-cut-weight mahogany guitar, at 6.72 lb.

The mahogany neck uses the Pattern Vintage carve (7/8" at the 1/2 fret, 63/64" at the 12 1/2 fret), a full, rounded shape that fills the hand. It’s set into the body, which ties the neck and body together for warmth and sustain. The rosewood fretboard has faux bone binding, white bird inlays, a 10" radius, and 22 PRS SE jumbo frets (.110" x .055"). The 24.594" scale gives the model its name and brings slightly lower string tension, so bends feel easier and chords sound a little warmer. The nut is 1 11/16" wide. A PRS two-piece bridge anchors the strings, and PRS Phase III non-locking tuners with wing buttons handle tuning. The headstock carries the SE signature logo and a “McCarty 594” truss rod cover.

The 58/15 LT “S” humbuckers are SE versions of the 58/15 LT pickups in the core McCarty 594. They’re voiced for a vintage, low-output sound that’s clear and open, with no muddiness.
