The PRS SE Paul's Guitar in Turquoise brings Paul Reed Smith's personal design platform into the SE Series — the model that, like the Modern Eagle before it, has always showcased his latest thinking in guitar building. The mahogany body wears a maple top with flame maple veneer under a gloss Turquoise finish, and the natural-finish headstock sets it off cleanly. At 6.68 lbs., it's light for a maple-topped mahogany doublecut, and that low weight comes through as resonance you can feel.
The mahogany neck is carved to PRS's Wide Fat profile (7/8" at the 1/2 fret, 61/64" at the 12 1/2 fret) with a gloss finish and set-neck construction for the sustain and seamless upper-fret access PRS is known for. The rosewood fretboard carries signature bird inlays, a 10" radius, 22 frets, a 25" scale length, and a 1 11/16" PRS nut. The bridge is the real story: the SE Paul's Guitar uses the same machined PRS stoptail with brass inserts spec'd on the Core model, and that mass and material transfer directly into sustain and note bloom.
