Paul Reed Smith Tekton Violet Tourmaline Pre-Order
Paul Reed Smith Tekton Violet Tourmaline Pre-Order
This is a Pre-Order Listing for the PRS Tekton in Violet Tourmaline. Brian's Guitars expects these guitars to arrive in November/December 2026.
The PRS Tekton Hardtail in Violet Tourmaline is a modern PRS built for players who care about precision and consistency. The name comes from the ancient Greek word for a craftsman or builder. The guitar pairs that idea with a forward-looking spec sheet. A figured mango top sits over a mahogany body. Mango is a hardwood with a bright, sweet voice and a warm midrange. Over mahogany, it adds sparkle and note clarity to a warm, resonant foundation. It is finished in high-gloss nitro that lets the figure come through the Violet Tourmaline. The body is thin and light, with sculpted contours and a deep cutaway for easy access to the upper frets. It stays comfortable through long practice sessions, studio days, and full sets.
The bolt-on maple neck has a Modern “D” carve (49/64" at the 1st fret, 27/32" at the 12th fret). It is thin without feeling cramped, and the satin nitro finish keeps your hand moving. The ebony fretboard has a flat 16" radius, offset dot inlays, and Luminlay side dots that stay visible on a dark stage. Twenty-four PRS jumbo stainless steel frets (.110" x .055") give bends a slick feel and will hold up to years of hard playing. Other specs include a 25.5" scale, a 1 11/16" PRS nut, and the bolt-on joint, which adds snap to the attack. The PRS Hardtail bridge locks the strings directly to the body for a firm, immediate response. PRS Phase III locking tuners keep the tuning steady. The hardware is finished in smoked black, and the headstock carries an inlaid signature logo and a Tekton truss rod cover.
A pair of PRS Stylus pickups, developed specifically for the Tekton family, are voiced for clarity and note definition. The control layout is master volume, a push/pull tone knob for coil splitting, and a 3-way blade selector. Every position is designed to be usable, in both humbucking and split modes. That covers tight split-coil cleans and full humbucker drive. The Stylus set stays articulate whether it is pushing a tube amp or feeding a digital modeling rig. Whether you’re a technical player who needs every note to stay clear under gain, a session guitarist covering a lot of ground with one instrument, or a modeling-rig player who wants pickups that won’t smear, the Tekton Hardtail fits right in. Ships with a PRS Premium Gig Bag. Order today from Brian’s Guitars, your authorized PRS dealer.
