The Suhr Classic S Antique Limited Edition in Daphne Blue is Suhr's tribute to the golden era of guitar building, executed with the precision that Suhr is known for. The 3-piece alder body wears a lacquer finish with light aging, and the Daphne Blue pairs with an aged green pickguard for a period-correct look that doesn't read as costume. The roasted maple neck is carved to Suhr's 60's C Vintage Standard profile (.810" at the 1st fret, .930" at the 12th) with a satin finish and bolt-on construction. Roasting the maple stabilizes it against humidity swings and gives it a broken-in feel straight out of the bag. The Indian rosewood fingerboard carries clay dot inlays, a 9-12" compound radius, 22 medium nickel frets, a 25.5" scale length, and a 1.650" Tusq nut. That compound radius is the practical upgrade over a true vintage neck — rounder at the nut where you chord, flatter up top where you bend. The nickel frets are a deliberate period choice, delivering authentic vintage feel and tone. Hardware is chrome throughout: Gotoh Kluson tuners on the original Suhr headstock with gold fill black outline decal, and a Wilkinson Year One 6-screw bridge.
Electronics split the difference between eras. A pair of Suhr V63+ single-coils sit in the neck and middle for classic Strat chime, glassy cleans, and that hollow quack in the in-between positions, while a Suhr SSV humbucker in the bridge brings the output and thickness a vintage single-coil can't. A volume, two tones, and a 3-way toggle handle the routing, and a push/push tone control splits the bridge humbucker for full single-coil sparkle when you want it.
