The Taylor Next Generation K24ce Special Edition (Serial #1204166036) is an all-koa Grand Auditorium with a Venetian cutaway. The top, back, and sides are Select-grade Hawaiian koa, with the variegated color and natural striping koa is known for. Scalloped V-Class bracing gives it a lively, punchy voice: a strong midrange, clear trebles, and warm lows. Koa also tends to gain depth and sweetness as it gets played in. Indian rosewood binding, a single-ring rosette of paua and Indian rosewood, and a dark stained sycamore pickguard dress the top, all under a gloss finish. It weighs 4.4 lb.

The Neo-Tropical neck has Taylor's Standard carve (.850" at the 1st fret, .880" at the 9th) with a satin finish. It joins the body with Taylor's Action Control Neck, which lets you adjust string height on the fly. The West African Crelicam ebony fretboard carries paua GA-LTD inlays, a 15" radius, and 20 medium frets on a 25.5" scale. The black Tusq nut measures 1.75".
