The Taylor Next Generation 814ce Limited Edition in Casablanca Beige Metallic (Serial #1208116073) puts a new face on Taylor’s flagship Grand Auditorium. The Sitka spruce top wears a metallic champagne finish inspired by a late-’70s Porsche color. Depending on the light and the angle, it shifts through shades of pale gold. The back and sides are Indian rosewood. Paired with Sitka spruce, it delivers rich overtones, even balance from low to high, and a clear top end. A full-body gloss finish covers the guitar, and it weighs 4.8 lb. The appointments are chosen to complement the top: a firestripe pickguard, a green abalone rosette, rock maple body binding, and black/maple/rosewood top edge trim.
