The Blackbird Rider Nylon is a one-piece carbon fiber travel guitar built to go anywhere. Body and neck are molded as a single piece of carbon fiber — no seams, no glue joints, no wood to worry about when humidity swings or the temperature drops in a cargo hold. It weighs 3.62 lbs. The gloss finish lets the carbon weave show through. This used example is in excellent condition, with light swirling and scratches in the clearcoat and some light scratches on the fretboard.

The neck carve is a D shape measuring .875" at the 1st fret and .930" at the 9th. The composite fretboard carries a single aluminum inlay at the 12th fret, 22 medium jumbo frets, and a 25.5" scale length. A 2.0" GraphTech nut gives nylon-string players familiar spacing under the picking hand. The slotted headstock, open-gear tuners with ebony buttons, and black hardware finish it off.

The composite RMC MIDI bridge with metal saddles pairs with an RMC Acoustic Gold pickup system and a 7-pin output, putting hex-pickup MIDI and guitar synth access on an instrument light enough to live in an overhead bin. Note that the RMC system has not been tested.
