Used Epiphone Les Paul Standard 60’s Iced Tea Burst

This 2022 Epiphone Les Paul Standard 60s in Iced Tea Burst (Serial #22121527151) is modeled on the early-’60s Les Paul Standard. The Epiphone connection runs deep: Les Paul built his “Log” solidbody prototype after hours at Epiphone’s New York factory. This one has a mahogany body with a flame maple veneer top under a gloss Iced Tea Burst finish. The flame shows clearly through the amber-to-brown burst. Cream body binding and a cream pickguard complete the vintage look. It weighs 9.16 lb., right in line with what you’d expect from a traditional Les Paul.

The mahogany set neck has a 60s Rounded C profile (.820" at the 1st fret, .955" at the 12th fret). It’s slimmer at the nut than a ’50s-style carve and fills out toward the body. The bound laurel fretboard has pearloid trapezoid inlays, a 12" radius, and 22 medium jumbo frets. Other specs include a 24.75" scale and a 1.692" GraphTech nut. The shorter scale lowers string tension, which makes bends easier and gives the guitar its warm Les Paul feel. A Tune-O-Matic bridge and stop bar tailpiece anchor the strings, and Epiphone Deluxe Vintage tuners sit on the gloss black headstock. The hardware is nickel.

An Epiphone ProBucker 2 in the neck and a ProBucker 3 in the bridge are wired to 2 volume and 2 tone controls, with a 3-way toggle. Each pickup has its own volume and tone, so you can set a darker neck sound and a brighter bridge sound and switch between them. The neck pickup is warm and vocal for leads. The bridge has the bite for rock and blues rhythm.
