Condition: Near-mint condition, 2025 model. Guitar shows little to no wear. Comes with original Epiphone Hardshell case and accessories.

The Epiphone Pre-War SJ-200 Rosewood in Vintage Sunburst is a jumbo flat-top built to pre-war SJ-200 specs, and this one is a near-mint 2025 example with little to no wear. The thermally aged solid spruce top is braced with traditional scalloped X bracing in quartersawn solid spruce, over solid rosewood back and sides — a darker, more articulate pairing than the maple-bodied SJ-200s most players know. The satin Vintage Sunburst finish, multi-ply back binding, multi-ring rosette, and tortoise floral-graphic pickguard carry the period look. It weighs 6.4 lbs. It comes with the original Epiphone hardshell case and accessories.

The two-piece maple neck is a Round D carve (.860" at the 1st fret, .960" at the 9th), joined with a glued-in dovetail for the coupling a big-bodied acoustic needs. The ebony fretboard has a 12" radius, cream binding, mother-of-pearl graduated crown inlays, and 20 standard frets. Scale length is 25.5", with a 1.72" bone nut. The Gibson open-book headstock carries the Epiphone logo and a Gibson crown in mother-of-pearl, with gold Epiphone Deluxe tuners. The rosewood two-bar moustache bridge with mother-of-pearl bars is the detail that makes an SJ-200 an SJ-200.

An L.R. Baggs Element Bronze VTC undersaddle system handles amplification, with volume and tone controls mounted in the soundhole so nothing interrupts the top. Plugged in, it stays faithful to the guitar's acoustic voice rather than reshaping it. Unplugged, the jumbo body and rosewood back and sides deliver deep low end, strong projection, and the note separation rosewood is known for — a strummer's guitar that still holds up under fingerstyle. Whether you're a singer-songwriter who needs a big voice behind you, a worship or session player working amplified, or a collector who wants the rosewood variant of a classic, this SJ-200 covers it. This Epiphone Pre-War SJ-200 Rosewood (Serial #25041500934) includes the original Epiphone hardshell case. Order today from Brian's Guitars, your authorized Epiphone dealer.
