Built around one of Fat Jimmy's signature circuits, the Gigmaster blends the best of classic tweed, brownface, and blackface voicings into a single amp — rich, musical, and remarkably "open" with a genuine three-dimensional feel, beautiful chime, and glassy, smooth clean tones. The 20-watt Gigmaster runs a pair of 6V6 power tubes into a single 12" Fat Jimmy Vintage Series ceramic speaker (built by WGS), voiced to give you a little less power than a typical Deluxe Reverb — which is exactly the point. That slightly lower wattage helps the amp capture the elusive "Honey Drip" feel that's notoriously hard to find in amps over 12 watts, breaking up sweetly and musically at more usable volumes. A 3 x 12AX7 and 12AT7 preamp feeds a circuit that's extremely touch-sensitive and responsive to the subtle dynamic nuances of your playing, rewarding a light touch and digging in alike. The onboard bright switch is far more subtle than most, making it a versatile, everyday-useful feature rather than a harsh on/off.
