The 2011 Fender 60th Anniversary Tele-bration Lamboo Telecaster in Natural is one of the most unique instruments Fender has ever hung a Tele headstock on — part of the twelve-model Tele-bration series built to mark six decades of the Telecaster, and the sustainability-minded entry in that run. In place of a conventional top, this one wears Lamboo, Fender's laminated bamboo, capped over a traditional alder body and finished in gloss lacquer. The result is a natural-finish Telecaster with a tight, linear grain pattern that looks like nothing else in the catalog, framed by brown shell binding and a matching 4-ply tortoiseshell pickguard for a warm set of vintage appointments against that pale top.
