The Fender American Professional II Stratocaster in Miami Blue is the modern working player's Strat, and this 2020 example wears one of the most eye-catching colors in the run — a soft, saturated retro blue over a solid alder body in gloss urethane, offset by a 3-ply black pickguard and a natural-finish headstock face. At 7.94 lbs. it's an ideal weight for a Stratocaster: resonant and lively, with enough mass behind the tremolo block to sustain, but light enough to disappear on a strap through a three-set night. The American Professional II line is where Fender's flagship USA-built production Strat lives, and Miami Blue is the finish that makes this one stand out on the wall.

The bolt-on maple neck is carved to Fender's Deep "C" profile (.820" at the 1st fret, .920" at the 12th), a genuinely hand-filling shape that gives your thumb something to push against on big bends and chord work, finished in satin so it never gets sticky. The maple fretboard with black dot inlays runs a 9.5" radius, 22 narrow tall frets, 25.5" scale length, and a 1.685" bone nut — narrow tall wire being the detail players notice first, since it delivers effortless bending and precise intonation without the fretted-out feel of a flatter board. Hardware is nickel and chrome throughout: a 2-point synchronized tremolo with bent steel saddles, a pop-in tremolo arm, and a cold-rolled steel block for added sustain and a fuller vibrato response, paired with Fender standard cast/sealed staggered tuners that improve break angle across the nut for solid tuning stability.

Electronics center on a full set of three Fender V-Mod II single-coil Stratocaster pickups, voiced position by position so the neck stays warm and vocal, the middle stays glassy, and the bridge cuts without turning brittle. Running through volume and tone controls with a 5-way blade selector, they cover the whole Strat vocabulary — bell-like clean arpeggios, quacky in-between funk, and the sweet, singing bridge tone that carries a solo — and a push-push tone control adds the neck pickup to positions where it's normally silent, opening up bridge-and-neck and all-three-pickup combinations a standard Stratocaster can't reach. Whether you're a gigging cover player who needs one guitar to do everything, a blues or pop-rock session player, or someone who's been waiting for the right Miami Blue Strat to come through, this one delivers. Condition is excellent for a 2020 instrument with little to no wear beyond some light scratches in the finish on the top and back, plus one small ding on the treble-side back of the neck at the 3rd fret. (Serial #US20069808) It ships in its original Fender Deluxe Molded hardshell case. Order today from Brian's Guitars, your authorized Fender dealer.
