This 2022 Fender American Professional II Stratocaster in Miami Blue (Serial #US22005380) is Fender’s modern workhorse Strat, built in the USA for players who gig, record, and need one guitar to cover a lot of ground. The body is alder, finished in gloss urethane. Alder gives the Strat its balanced, full-range voice with a strong midrange. Miami Blue is a bright, vintage-inspired color, paired here with a 3-ply black pickguard. This one weighs 8.4 lb.

The maple neck has a Deep “C” carve (.820" at the 1st fret, .920" at the 12th fret). It’s a full, comfortable profile that fills the hand without feeling clubby. Fender rolls the fingerboard edges for a broken-in feel and finishes the back in its “Super-Natural” satin, so your hand moves freely. The newly sculpted neck heel trims away bulk at the bolt-on joint for easier access to the upper frets. The maple fretboard has black dot inlays, a 9.5" radius, and 22 narrow tall frets. Other specs include a 25.5" scale and a 1.685" bone nut. The 2-point synchronized tremolo has bent steel saddles, a pop-in arm, and a cold-rolled steel block that adds sustain and top-end clarity. Three Fender V-Mod II Single-Coil Strat pickups deliver clear, articulate tones with the bell-like chime and warmth you expect from a Strat. The layout is 1 volume, 2 tones, and a 5-way blade switch. A push-push switch on the tone control adds the neck pickup, opening up bridge-and-neck and all-three-pickup combinations a standard Strat can’t reach.
