Tweed covering on the hardshell case shows some stains.

This Used 2009 Fender American Vintage '57 Stratocaster Reissue in Ocean Turquoise recreates Leo Fender's original golden-era spec in a strikingly rare custom color, built around a resonant alder body finished in nitrocellulose lacquer for authentic vintage look, feel, and aging character. At 6.86 lbs., it wears its sixteen years lightly and plays every bit as vintage-correct as it looks.

The '57-spec neck carries a substantial "V" shape (.860" at the 1st fret, .895" at the 12th) cut from a 1-piece maple blank and finished in period-correct nitrocellulose lacquer, bolted to the body Fender-style for that snappy, resonant attack the original '57s are known for. A maple fretboard with black dot inlays, a vintage-correct 7.25" (184.1mm) radius, and 21 vintage-style frets across the 25.5" scale deliver an authentically old-school feel, while the 1.650" (42mm) synthetic bone nut leads to 6-in-line American Vintage tuners beneath the natural, spaghetti-decal headstock that's become a hallmark of this reissue line. A 6-saddle American Vintage synchronized tremolo, chrome hardware, and a 1-ply white pickguard round out the vintage-correct package.

Three American Vintage single-coil Strat pickups — including the '56-voiced middle pickup — deliver the glassy, quacky, in-between tones the '57 reissue is known for, wired through the stock 1-volume/2-tone layout and a 3-way blade selector, with a 5-way switch upgrade kit included as an accessory for anyone who wants the two quack positions. Whether you're a vintage-tone purist, a session player who wants '57-spec Strat character without hunting down an actual 1957 original, or a collector after a well-preserved custom-color reissue, this Stratocaster delivers. This 2009 example is in excellent condition, showing only light general wear — small scratches and swirls, tiny clearcoat dings, a small spot of finish rub-through near the bass-side neck mounting screw, and a sticker on the tremolo cover (Serial #V188865). It includes the original Fender Tweed hardshell case and tremolo arm, though the case's tweed covering shows some staining. Order today from Brian's Guitars, your authorized Fender dealer.
