This 2022 Fender Custom Shop 1963 Stratocaster Journeyman Relic in 3-Color Sunburst is a lightly aged Custom Shop build in near-mint condition, showing little to no wear beyond the factory Journeyman treatment. A 2-piece alder body in lacquer, aged just enough to look played without the heavy wear of a full Relic, paired with a green/black/green nitro relic pickguard in the correct 1963-76 style. At 7.56 lbs. it's a comfortable weight for long sets. Serial #CZ564610 dates it to 2022, and it comes complete with its original hardshell case, Fender Floor Traveler, and accessories.

The 5/4 quartersawn maple neck is carved to a '63 Strat "C" profile (.830" at the 1st fret, 1.0" at the 12th) in medium tint lacquer with a heavy relic on the back — a nice touch, since that's where a real vintage neck wears smooth and fast. A AAA rosewood fretboard with white Micarta dot inlays, a 9.5" radius, 21 medium jumbo frets, a 25.5" scale length, and a 1.650" bone nut give it authentic early-'60s feel with enough fret height for modern bending. The small headstock carries the correct '61-'63 two patent number decal. Hardware is relic'd nickel throughout: a vintage Strat tremolo with six bent saddles and vintage tuners with the Fender logo.

The guitar currently has a set of Omanac Windery Strat single-coils installed, with the original Custom Shop pickups included if you want to return it to spec. Wired to a volume, two tones, and a 5-way blade selector, it covers the full Strat spread — glassy neck-pickup clarity, that hollow quack in positions two and four, and a bridge pickup with cut and snap.
