This Used Fender Custom Shop Tomatillo Telecaster Relic in Aged Silver Sparkle is a limited-edition Custom Shop build in mint condition, showing little to no non-original wear beyond the factory relic treatment. The Aged Silver Sparkle finish is the draw — a sparkle top over a 2-piece alder body in gloss nitrocellulose lacquer, relic'd and accented with 1-ply parchment body binding. At 7.2 lbs. it's a light, resonant Tele that hangs well through long sets. The relic work is Custom Shop quality, giving the guitar the look of a well-loved '50s instrument.
The 5/4 quartersawn maple neck is carved to a '57-style soft "V" (.850" at the 1st fret, .990" at the 12th) with a gloss nitro finish in medium tint, relic'd to match, and bolted on with a 4-bolt joint for the snap and attack that defines a Telecaster. A maple fretboard with black Micarta dot inlays, 9.50" radius, 21 narrow tall frets, 25.5" scale length, and a 1.650" bone nut give it authentic vintage feel with enough fret height for modern bending. The headstock carries a vintage silver Fender Tele decal, and hardware runs period-correct throughout: a reverse Nocaster bridge with brass saddles, vintage tuners with the Fender logo, relic'd nickel and chrome, and a 1-ply parchment 52 Tele pickguard.
Hand-wound Tomatillo Tele single-coils sit in the neck and bridge, wired through a reverse control plate with Fat 50's Tele wiring, one volume, one tone, and a 3-way blade selector.
