This Gibson Les Paul Studio in Cherry Sunburst (Serial #235140160) is a used Les Paul in near-mint condition. It keeps the core of the design and drops the extra appointments. The mahogany body has Gibson’s Ultra Modern weight relief, which brings this one in at 8.1 lb., light for a Les Paul. A carved maple top over the mahogany adds brightness and definition to the warm low end. The Cherry Sunburst is finished in gloss nitrocellulose lacquer and paired with a white pickguard.
The mahogany set neck has a SlimTaper carve (.820" at the 1st fret, .920" at the 12th) with a traditional heel and a gloss nitro finish. The Indian rosewood fretboard has single-ply cream binding, acrylic trapezoid inlays, a 12" radius, and 22 medium jumbo frets on a 24.75" scale. The Graph Tech nut is 1.695" wide, and the headstock is finished in gloss black. A lightweight aluminum Nashville Tune-O-Matic bridge and an aluminum stopbar tailpiece anchor the strings. This one has been upgraded with Graph Tech Ratio locking tuners. Ratio tuners use a different gear ratio for each string, so every turn of a key moves the pitch by the same amount. The locking posts speed up string changes and help hold tuning. All hardware is finished in nickel.
A pair of Gibson Burstbucker Pro humbuckers run through 2 volumes, 2 tones, and a 3-way toggle. Burstbucker Pros are Gibson’s PAF-style humbuckers with Alnico V magnets and a slightly hotter wind. They’re wax-potted to stay quiet under high gain. That covers warm, singing neck-pickup leads, glassy middle-position cleans, and a bridge pickup with plenty of bite for crunch rhythm.
