Used 2009 Gretsch G5122 Electromatic Double Cutaway Wine Red
Serial Number: KS09013765
Weight: 6.67 lbs
Condition: Good condition, 2009 model. Guitar shows some wear from play. Top shows pick-scratches on bass-side of strings, scratches around the bridge base, under strings, and around the controls. Headstock shows scratches. Back and sides of the body also show scratches. Comes with Gretsch hardshell case.

This 2009 Gretsch G5122 Electromatic Double Cutaway in Wine Red delivers genuine Gretsch hollowbody twang and character at an accessible price point, built with laminated maple top, back, and sides for classic full-hollow resonance and that unmistakable Gretsch sound. The double-cutaway body is finished in gloss urethane Wine Red with cream body binding, a gray plexiglass pickguard with the Gretsch logo, and the brand's signature 50s-style headstock shape, all coming in at a manageable 6.67 lbs. for a hollowbody.

The maple neck's C-profile (.795" at the 1st fret, .885" at the 12th) is a comfortable, medium-full shape that suits both chord-melody playing and single-note lines, topped with a rosewood fretboard, pearloid "thumbnail" inlays, and a 12" radius across 22 medium jumbo frets and a 24.56" scale length. A 1.6875" synthetic nut leads to vintage-style open-back tuners in chrome, with an Adjusto-Matic bridge on a rosewood base paired to a Bigsby B60 vibrato tailpiece for classic Gretsch shimmer and pitch-bend effects.

A pair of dual-coil Gretschbucker humbuckers at neck and bridge deliver warm, articulate tone with more output and less microphonic squeal than the vintage Filter'Trons they're modeled after, wired to independent volume controls per pickup plus a master volume, master tone, and 3-way toggle selector for quick tonal shifts. This particular example is in good, honestly-played condition for a 2009 model, showing wear consistent with regular use: pick scratches on the bass side of the strings, scratches around the bridge base and beneath the strings, scratches around the control area, headstock scratching, and scratches on the back and sides. It comes with the original Gretsch hardshell case. Whether you're a rockabilly or country player chasing that classic Gretsch twang and Bigsby vibrato, a player wanting a genuine hollowbody at a real player-grade price, or someone picking up a second guitar for open tunings or slide work, this G5122 delivers authentic Gretsch character without the premium price tag.
