This 2023 Gretsch G6118T-140 LTD 140th Double Platinum Anniversary (Serial #JT23114257) is a limited-edition Gretsch released for the company's 140th anniversary, and it's in mint condition. It's used, but it shows little to no wear. The laminated maple hollowbody uses the Anniversary shape and is finished in two-tone Pure Platinum and Stone Platinum gloss. The body has white binding with black purfling. A Stone Platinum pickguard with a silver Gretsch logo matches the finish. The headstock carries an abalone Gretsch logo and a 140th Anniversary plaque. It weighs 7.2 lb.
The maple neck has a Standard "U" profile (.840" at the 1st fret, .900" at the 12th). It's a set-neck, so the neck and body vibrate as one piece for strong sustain and resonance. The ebony fretboard has Pearloid Neo-Classic thumbnail inlays and white binding, with a 12" radius, 22 medium jumbo frets, and a 24.6" scale. The nut is bone, 1.6875" wide. The vibrato is a Bigsby B6CP string-thru. Gotoh locking tuners make string changes quick and help the guitar hold tune when you use the Bigsby. This guitar has an aftermarket titanium bridge on an ebony base, and the original bridge is included. All hardware is chrome.
Two FT-67 Filter'Tron humbuckers handle the sound. They give you the bright, clear twang and chime Gretsch is known for, with low hum. Each pickup has its own volume, and there's also a master volume, a master tone, and a 3-way toggle. Whether you play rockabilly, roots and Americana, or indie rock, or you collect anniversary editions, this G6118T-140 is ready to go. (Serial #JT23114257) It comes with its original Gretsch hardshell case and the original bridge. Order today from Brian's Guitars.
