The Serpentine's mahogany body wears an aged nitrocellulose lacquer finish in Pelham Blue, the color that has drawn players since Gibson first offered it in the sixties, with the aging done so the guitar reads as a well-kept older instrument rather than a beat-up one. A 3-ply black pickguard and aged nickel hardware carry the theme through.
