The Used Mayones Hydra Elite Pro 6 in Trans Dirty Purple Burst is a 2024 headless build from Poland's premier guitar builder, and it's in mint condition with little to no wear. A 3A eye poplar top sits over a mahogany khaya body, finished in satin Trans Dirty Purple Burst with scraped binding that lets the wood edge frame the top. At 6.76 lbs., it's truly light for a 24-fret. Headless construction keeps the balance neutral and the footprint compact.
The neck is a 5-ply wenge/purpleheart laminate in a C profile (.770" at the 1st fret, .810" at the 12th), bolted on for attack and clarity. That multi-laminate build is stiff and stable — it's why these necks stay put through drop tunings. The ebony fretboard carries a 16" radius, 24 Ferd Wagner stainless steel frets, SB-20 Super Blue side dots, a 25.4" scale length, and a 43.5mm GraphTech nut. Stainless frets mean effortless bends and a fretboard that won't need dressing for a very long time. Hardware is all black, with an S-Clamp brass element at the neck end and a 6-string headless tremolo system anchoring the strings.
Electronics are a Mayones Velvetrone set: the Ironside humbucker in the neck and the Solium in the bridge, running to a single volume control and a 5-way lever selector. The Solium is tight and articulate under high gain — riffs stay defined, palm mutes don't smear — while the Ironside handles fluid leads and cleaner passages with warmth and no flub.
