This 2025 PRS Private Stock Custom 24 in Sub Zero Glow (Serial #404333, Private Stock #11702) pairs a Private Stock-grade quilted maple top with a swamp ash body. The quilt is finished in Sub Zero Glow under high-gloss nitro. The edge is scraped, so a strip of natural maple shows around the top instead of applied binding. It weighs 7.28 lb. This used Private Stock is in near-mint condition, with little to no wear beyond some light swirling in the clearcoat.
The neck is flamed maple with a satin nitro finish, carved to PRS’s Pattern Thin profile (51/64" at the 1st fret, 57/64" at the 12th fret). The satin finish feels smooth and fast in the hand. The fretboard is quilted maple, which is unusual even on a Private Stock, with chrysocolla bird inlays outlined in paua. It has a 10" radius, 24 frets, a 25" scale, and a 1 11/16" nut. The set-neck joint ties the neck and body together for sustain and an easy reach to the top frets. The headstock has a quilted maple veneer stained Sub Zero Glow to match the top, with a chrysocolla Private Stock eagle outlined in paua.
The hardware is a PRS Gen III tremolo and Phase III locking tuners with ebony buttons, all in smoked black. The Gen III trem gives you smooth vibrato that returns to pitch. The locking tuners make string changes fast and help keep the guitar in tune when you use the bar.
The pickups are a pair of PRS McCarty III humbuckers, with a volume knob, a tone knob, and a 3-way toggle. Pull up the tone knob to tap the coils. That takes you from full humbucker tones to lighter, brighter single-coil sounds without changing guitars. Whether you’re a rock player, a session guitarist who needs both humbucker and single-coil sounds, or a collector adding a Private Stock to the lineup, this Custom 24 is ready to play (Serial #404333, Private Stock #11702). It comes with its original PRS Private Stock Black Paisley hardshell case, Private Stock certificate, and accessories.
