This 2025 Paul Reed Smith Private Stock McCarty 594 Singlecut Trem in Frostbite Glow (Serial #405956, Private Stock #11924) comes out of PRS's Private Stock shop, where a small team builds each guitar from hand-selected materials. It's a used guitar in mint condition with little to no wear. A burl maple top sits on an African mahogany back, with scraped binding that shows the maple's natural edge. The Frostbite Glow finish is sprayed in high-gloss nitro. It weighs 8.66 lbs.
The Private Stock appointments carry through every part of this guitar. The headstock is faced in burl maple stained Frostbite Glow. It features a black and gold sparkle resin Private Stock eagle outlined in white mother of pearl and trimmed in 1/32" gold mother of pearl purfling. The curly maple truss rod cover is stained to match, with natural curly maple binding and gold pearl purfling. Down the neck, black and gold sparkle resin birds wear gold mother of pearl outlines and matching purfling. The pickup rings, knobs, and tuner buttons are all curly maple, stained to match.
The curly maple neck is carved to PRS's Pattern Vintage profile (7/8" at the 1st fret, 63/64" at the 12th fret). It's a full carve that fills the hand. The neck is set into the body for strong sustain and a solid, connected feel. The bound ebony fretboard has a 12" radius and 22 frets on PRS's 24.594" scale, with a 1 11/16" nut. The neck is finished in high-gloss nitro. This Singlecut adds a PRS Gen III tremolo to the McCarty 594 formula. Phase III locking tuners with setscrews keep it stable. The hardware is finished in gold and black.
