This 2025 Paul Reed Smith Private Stock McCarty SC56 in Blood Orange Glow (Serial #405484, Private Stock #12021) is a singlecut built by PRS’s Private Stock team and hand-signed by Paul Reed Smith on the headstock. A Private Stock curly maple top sits on an African mahogany back, finished in high-gloss nitro in Blood Orange Glow. Scraped binding shows the natural maple edge around the top. It weighs 7.7 lb. This used guitar is in mint condition, with little to no wear.
The figured mahogany neck is carved to PRS’s Pattern Vintage profile (7/8" at the 1st fret, 63/64" at the 12th) and finished in satin nitro. The set-neck joint gives it strong sustain and a resonant, connected feel. The fretboard is Brazilian rosewood with flame maple binding and white mother-of-pearl bird inlays, with a 12" radius and 22 PRS frets. The headstock is faced in matching Brazilian rosewood and also bound in natural flame maple.
The 24.594" scale is the same length PRS uses on its McCarty 594 models. It gives slightly easier bends and a warmer response than a 25" scale. A 1 11/16" bone nut, a PRS two-piece stoptail, and PRS vintage-style non-locking tuners make up the hardware, all in nickel. Two McCarty III humbuckers run through two volumes, two tones, and a 3-way toggle, the classic singlecut layout for blending and balancing each pickup.
