This 2017 Rickenbacker 330 in Fireglo (Serial #17 3690) is the thinline semi-hollow behind decades of chiming, jangling guitar sounds. The body is maple, with the 330’s signature slash soundhole and a gloss finish. Fireglo is Rickenbacker’s classic red-to-amber burst, and it carries onto the neck and headstock. A white pickguard and white truss rod cover complete the look. This one weighs 7.7 lb.

The neck is 3-ply maple, walnut, and maple, a laminated build that adds stiffness and stability. It has a D carve (.835" at the 1st fret, .915" at the 12th fret), slim and quick under the hand. The rosewood fretboard has white dot inlays, a 10" radius, and 21 frets. Other specs include a 24.75" scale and a 1.625" synthetic nut. The set-neck joint ties the neck and body together for sustain and a focused attack. Strings run over a Rickenbacker 6-saddle bridge to the trapeze “R” tailpiece, another signature Rickenbacker detail. Schaller tuners and nickel/chrome hardware finish the build.

Two Rickenbacker Hi-Gain Single-coil pickups give the 330 its bright, ringing voice. The neck pickup is warm and full for clean chords. The bridge pickup has the sharp, cutting jangle that sits on top of a band mix.
