This Used Suhr Classic JM in Shoreline Gold is a near-mint offset, built on a 2-piece alder body under a gloss gold finish. At 7.96 lbs., it sits in the sweet spot for an alder solidbody — enough mass for sustain, light enough for long sets. The current owner fitted a multi-ply black pickguard and aftermarket knobs, which sharpens the contrast against the gold considerably. The original parchment pickguard and knobs are included, so it goes back to stock spec whenever you want.
The maple neck is carved to Suhr's 60's C Vintage Standard profile (.810" at the 1st fret, .930" at the 12th) with a satin finish and bolt-on construction for snap and definition. The Indian rosewood fretboard carries clay dot inlays, a 10-14" compound radius, 22 medium stainless steel frets, a 25.5" scale length, and a 1.650" Tusq nut. That compound radius is the practical detail here: rounder at the nut for chording, flatter up top so bends don't fret out. Stainless frets keep the feel slick and won't need dressing for years. The Suhr hybrid headstock wears a gold fill black outline decal, and the hardware is all chrome — Suhr locking tuners up top, a Suhr 2-post tremolo with bent saddles and a steel block at the bridge.
Electronics are a pair of Suhr SSV humbuckers, neck and bridge, wired to a volume control, two tone controls, and a 3-way toggle. The SSV is Suhr's PAF-leaning workhorse — the bridge stays clear and vocal under gain instead of getting congested, and the neck delivers warm, round lead tones with definition intact. Two tone controls mean you can dial each pickup independently and switch without touching a knob.
